BSC in Marine Engineering
4 year Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering degree consists of three phases of education and training. The three phases are:
| First Phase | Pre-Sea Marine Engineering | 24 months at Academy
( 1st -4th Semester) |
| Second Phase | On-Board Training | 12 months sea service with salary
(5th-6th Semester) |
| Third Phase | Marine Engineering | 12 months at Academy
(7th-8th Semester) |
After completion of these three phases, cadets will receive their Bachelor degree Certificate from ‘Bangladesh Maritime University’.
Entry Requirements for BSC in Marine Engineering are as per Department of Shipping circular. However, Basic requirements are as follows:
- HSC with Mathematics & Physic
- Proficiency in speaking, Reading, Writing and Listening English
- Proficiency in computer operation
- Medical requirements and eye sight test
- Physical fitness
- Age limit is 21 years
